"Learn to be humble." grand ma always taught me. I do not really recall every part of the life with her, but I really miss what she always taught me. Some of the words we are taught by those that went ahead of us are not just words of encouragement, but they are a blessing. Those people chose to speak grace and sufficiency to our lives and that is why we are here. I was reviewing what grandma always said to me, and really, It is a blessing she spoke to me.
As a leader, and everyone is a leader in their own way, you must always learn to say positive things to those people who look up to you. If you will always be trying to make them feel inferior, trying to push them down, you will never see growth. imagine if you said that you made someone be what they are today by just saying a few encouragement words? It doesn't require you to be a billionare to invest in someone's idea. I am glad for the people that invested in me in my young life. They all believed that I was worth something more than just the young age I had.
If we invest in our children, if we invest in the little brothers that has brought into our lives, we shall receive abundant blessings in our lives. our investments shall never lack good connections. Our lives shall never lack the great investors we most need in our lives. Each one of us is blessed in their own way, make it one of your dreams to invest in the future. One of my great dreams is to erradicate unemployment among the youths especially from everywhere I will be in by at least 25% by the year 2020. Make it your vision to touch a life. A rewind into the past of one very great personality that ever lived in our days. I am talking about the late Myles Monroe. In one of his tours to Kenya, He said, LIVE FULL, DIE EMPTY. The grave is the richest place. It is a place where great dreams were buried. It is the place where great writers who could have transformed this world had they given it all they had, but they died as drunkards. It is the place where the best fashion designers were buried as prostitutes, it is the place where great activists were buried as glue sniffers, it is the place where business ideas that we were never exposed to were buried. It is the place where great music that we never heard was buried, it is the place where great genius were buried, it is the place that robbed the world the world of the best things that we ever expected.
I want you to say like that great man on the cross, IT IS FINISHED. Exploit everything that is gifted in you. If it is music that you showed up to do, do the best records ever. If it is a book you showed up here to write, you have only written one, we are waiting for the 5 books in you. Get out there and give to this society. If it is technology that you showed up here to give to society, we are waiting for something bigger than Facebook.
Isn't it fun to just transform the old cycle that the world has been used to? Get into the race and exploit everything in you. No one will. Just you. Get out all that is in you. And when you are done with your few days here on earth, come to rest in that grave, and tell it you are different. You aint the same as those it picked before.

HERE I AM

Sometimes we just sit and imagine, when we hear what is happening in the news, terror attacks, Bank robberies, hacks and everything. What happens when a newly wed couple lose their only child? What happens when a young entreprenuer watches his newly introduced business goes up in flames? What happens when a widow stands on a fresh grave as she puts soil on the grave of her husband and only son? What happens when an innocent man accused of rape is sentenced for a lifetime jail? What happens when a tycoon watches desperately as his petrol station is razed by the hungry flames of fire. You sometimes don't know what will be the next thing of yourself? Because you have lost everything?

I believe this thing called life is one day at a time. We can not reverse what has already happened. We can't take back what we have lost into what we want. We ought to deal with the fact that it doesn't matter how much we have lost, we can begin again. We can start all over again and make our new us through patience, persistence and perseverance. Come to think of losses as nice shower that you take after a long day at work. Yeah! That is what am talking about. Even when u have lost, juz wake up from the tears and loss and say, Here I Am today, I showed up today at the workplace called life, there must be work to do right here. And Like Les Brown says, When life knocks you down, try to land on your back. Because if you can look up, you can get up.

WHAT IF....

New day to reach out to your greatness a bit higher. I remember this question that this great speaker asked me, If you had to live your entire life like you are, would you be proud of it? Would you be happy about it? And off it challenged me to advance, be hungry, be ready for this thing. To  commit my very being to this calling and course of greatness. And that is how my life changed. i remember back then I felt inferior to people who had things I didn't have. I got out of my comfort zone. I spent hours in my dream. I remember some nights going without sleep seated in front of my laptop. It was all I had. I appeared stupid, and very mad to stay up all night with a lecture at 7:00am in the morning. They woke up and laughed, "Man u may be taking IT but young man you are mad." i felt humiliated. My company was dying. I had made a loss on all the assets in the industry. With the little I had remaining i tried to bring it back to life. But hell no. The little I bought blew up in 2 weeks' time. I said "Why God? Am not trying to steal from anybody, am not conning anyone, am not robbing a bank, why is this happening to me?" And sitting there in the pool of tears, that one last hope I had died when I lost the only thing I had left that I cared for, My Education Pattern. I was pushed back one year. And it took something from me that really woke me up from my comfort zone.


Sometimes you could count on people to help you accomplish your dream and they fail to show up on the big day. They fail to send you that capital you wanted. you count on some people to deliver results only to be met with surprise of failure at your desk the next morning. You could give it all you could and things don't just work out. Men I tell you it's hard to contemplate who to count on at such a time. Who to turn your tears to when you get tested with cancer, who to cry on when you realise you made a mistake in your life, who to tell the bad news of being HIV +ve, It's had to contemplate who is there for you when all your family dies in one tragic day. It's hard. It's hard.

But sometimes life has got to surprise you with disappointment for it to remind you you don't live forever. Live now. Live full, die empty. Sometimes life has got to take away from you something that you held so dear to your life for it to challenge you to live and stop rehearsing. For a long time I lived life like a coward. I hated competition. I hated innovation. I was being a copy cat. Until that day i lost everything. It woke me up from my sleep. I learned that in life, things don't last forever except those treasures we keep high up in heaven. I learned that these clothes I wear will tomorrow be rugs, why not dive into the rough game. I learned that the little coins I was earning would very easily get robbed from a bank, why not risk them in my business. The little hate I had for people who did bad things to me, tomorrow it would give me B.P, Why not forgive, does it make me any lesser? The little fears I kept for my business getting out there and handling heavy commercial jobs, what had that fear earned me except some devastating losses of a whole D.C.C, why not give it all I can and call it, Diamond Empire?

What is it you fear to lose? Today people shall talk about how you lost and soon they can't even recollect what really happened to you. Get off that relationship that is pulling you down, get off that job that is procrastinating your greatness, get off that comfort zone that is destroying your sense of innovation. Trust me, If you don't invest in your dream, Someone is gonna hire you to invest in their dream.

The truth of this statement is nothing less than the life of one, Caleb Mwangagi Ndiku. His journey to success was one crowded with all sorts of difficulty. BAHATI! The stage name that the young Kelvin Kioko goes by, a name that I do not have to take a real precious 5 minutes and at least try to knock the sense into anyone of who he is. His name just sells him. Watching him perform at the Groove Party (of course on You Tube), his #TeamBahati fans were literally jumping for at list a finger-print. My main focus isn’t the shows he goes for. It’s about him coming up to the light in his Gospel Entertainment career. He released a whopping 3 singles, one after the other. First came, SIKU YA KWANZA, then WANGU, and the big jam MAMA. He was shooting up, and no need to say accepted by the industry, but he never stopped at that. MACHOZI with the very popular “Bahati Bahati tenaaaaaa” start tone hit every air wave with such vigor which in the words of HopeKid, The General, I would say, inatesaaaaa. Not tired, BARUA ya Bahati was out climaxed it all with such many requests that it stayed on the charts for the better part of 2014. And just in case you don’t have the word that is all over, the new LOVER single is ready and will be out in no time(How I am waiting for this).  SUCCESS story for reals. Look at that kid. So humble yet so big. Meeeen. They made it. Why not you? Obviously, by all definitions, no one can argue that BAHATI is a real success of persistence, hardwork and faith in God.
I am not for the idea that everyone makes a musician. No. What a miserable world we shall have when our children shall lack a teacher, when our sick grand-parents shall lack a doctor, when our country shall become a playing field for terrorists, when our country shall lack good opposition leaders and presidents, when our country shall lack good pilots and ma3 conductors; all simply because everyone ran to be a musician. Whatever you do, give your best. You may not be the first in the industry, but just be the best. If everyone opts and chooses to be the best them, what an amazing world we shall have. Some people ask how? Just begin, the plan shall come to you. Begin with small amounts of success. Begin with the small amounts of effort. Ever seen someone sooo determined to reach to a destiny? A lot of time, when met by obstacles and challenges, we start crying. we start blaming others for the things that went wrong because maybe it's them that inflicted the pain on us. And we spend a really good sum of our lives in tears and agony while everyone is out there and hustling hard to make things work for themselves. Can we really hang on to our tears for success and prosperity in life? Wake up and stop crying. you can never change anything no matter how much you try to when you are in tears. Either we can choose to act or life acts on us. But we are assured that, if we don't, then life will act on us.
By the guarantee that if we don't act, life will disappoint us, we ought to at least do a thing. Hard work isn't a guarantee that success will come your way, but it increases the chances. We have to try. We have to run away from that self-inflicted pain. We have to live life as conquerers and not sufferers.
The problem with most people in life is not that they do not have the opportunity or the zeal to begin, it's their way of thinking. Most people think of themselves as the victims rather than the victors in any single event.They question how the other party shall gain at their expense, rather than questioning on how they shall reach their goals. Stop it and start having the VICTOR-MENTALITY. If you live your whole life hoping that you ought to gain more than those you meet along your journey of life. Start your journey with the mentality of the GUARANTEED SUCCESS. Start by saying that if you don't do anything about your situation, definitely you shall lose. Wake up and run with your goal. IT'S ALL UP TO YOU

Have you ever, for a moment or so looked at this world from the other people's point of view? Have you ever wondered why so many are busy sorting stuff in their own lives? Yeah! Am talking about how everyone is just so busy to make their lives better. And in this quest for success, sometimes we tend to forget that these are people too. It's a bad thing to start crying about how life is so unfair yet you are doing nothing about it. It's a total waste of your precious time to keep complaining how people are neglecting you. Of course it is at the time of adversity that we learn who are our real friends. But when you start shouting about how people have left you, you act desperate about life. Life will deal with you as an individual. Deal with it and stop running away complaining about this and that. The world holds great prices for those who are willing to fight for them. Yes. Ask any successful man and you will learn that this world is a place where you have to define your worth by your own effort. You have to pass through the adversity, sometimes have to cry when the others are smiling, that is the definition of success. And it's all going to be done by you. You and you alone.

The World Ain't No Place For Cowards

A couple of days ago I was watching a documentary on one of the world's most influential figures. Aaron Swartz, popularly known as The Internet's Own Boy, was all just passionate about change from the very moment he was born. He questioned why things had to be done just one way and not the other. From a very tender age, he was introduced to computers and coding. With so much zeal combined from inside, he shot up like a mushroom in a land plenty of water. Imagine a 14year old was the one behind all the RSS feeds you get? Yeah! That was Aaron Swartz. He believed that the world's knowledge was supposed to be free information. And soon, he found himself brushing shoulders with the government because he was just simply releasing information to the world and making it free. Long story short, he passed on at the age of 26. He died for what he believed in. He died in the line of duty. It's said that he committed suicide, Did He lose or had he just concluded what he believed in?
His story much speaks to us. Are you so passionate about what you are doing that you would bet your whole life to committing to it? People who are ready to die for what they believe in. What's in your mind? Is it that dream? Is it the perfect work you wish that one day it will be published? Is it the perfect job you are wondering how it's ever going to get in the lime-light? Don't you ever give up on that dream. Every other big thing was once formed in someone's mind. No one ever thought that a university drop out could ever make a big brand like Apple. No one ever imagined that a Harvard dropout could make the OS that runs the entire computer world. No one ever thought that a school expulsion is all Mark needed to create this big room called FaceBook, Virgin Atlantic, WikiPedia, WikiLeaks, talk about it all, it all passed through a period of total inability. When dreams seemed impossible. And then one morning things changed. Believe it and live it.

PAIN IS TEMPORARY

Sometimes in our lives we are hit hard by the pains of life and we just do not know where we shall move next to. Sometimes the people we cared for betray us and walk away from us. We are left all on our own to suffer the bouts of the pain they have inflicted on us. At times we are in a situation and when people tell us to move on, they sound strange to us. Because it's not them that are going through it all. You know, some time you are in a storm, and you just don't know when it's all going to end. Pain! Pain that can't be seen, but our hearts feel it all.

But have you ever wondered how long this pain lasts? It's not forever going to be there. Pain may last for a minute, a day, or a year. But it can't last forver. It's the moment when we are going through pain that we are closest to the goals of our lives. Sometimes those trying to tell us not to give up don't make sense. But you know what? It all shall be over some day. Our lives are not meant to be bound by limited pains and hardships. It's going to be there but not forever. It shall pass. It shall move away some day. Just hold on. It doesn't matter how hard it seems to be, just hold on to that goal. Someday you will shine. Some day you shall be on the Dailies for your victory. You are more than a conquerer. Stand strong.

Fight For It

For the lovers of football, its no new thing to say that, in the field there is no master of the game. Only a smart player earns himself a big name. Some wonder how this is possible as there are some people you will always be sure they will get the ball. And once they have it, then take one more gulp of your drink as you prepare to celebrate the next goal.
A similar case applies to our day to day lives. We must always remember that in life its not about how much experience you have in it, or how much you can stand the stench of life not going your way, no. It's about you. It's how much you are ready to fight to earn and win what you believe in. Most people walk throughout the cause of life whining and whining about how much life didn't go their way. They are called the attention seekers. They beg to  be listened to. The beg beg beg and beg all their lives. Too many love begging. At the end of the day they realise that no matter how much they have complained and complained, nothing has changed to their favor, rather, it has turned against them.
Nothing will ever change in your life unless you have the tenacity to overcome the giant called you. Everyone of us has a worry in their lives, but you know what, life isn't about how much you worry for yourself. It's about how much you are ready to fight. Fight to win in the race. Fight to get to your goals. Fight to win the big giant called you. Their is no one who will do it for you, no, ITS YOU. Go out and fight. Stop telling your friends about what was not given to you in the last 5 years, wake up and get it. Stop complaining about what you can't do, wake up and invent it. No one will do it for you. It's just you. Winners are people who are ready to fight. Winners never bow down to failure. They fail, wake up and face life right onto the face and then some day, success comes their way. Strain, Fight For It.

Anyone who has ever done coding on a computer will agree with me that there is usually one big prayer in your mind as you are about to run any program. “LET IT BE”. And then your mind starts racing as you see the percentage on the compiler run from 0% to 100%. The worst thing is for the program to crush at 99%. You feel so disappointed that you have to go back to the drawing board and debug any errors that have occurred on your program. Sorry for the non-programmers. But for your sake; just imagine you are downloading a certain music that you heard over the radio, of the musician that you fancy most about, then the download just stops at 95%, and you are pretty sure if it has to resume, it all begins at 0%. I think you are getting the frustration am talking about. But have you ever realized that it’s not about the starting over that irritates most, but the patience of having to wait for another 20minutes? Yet we are sure that if we do not get the courage to wait that long we shall never get anywhere.

Our lives are just like that program or download you are trying to see it walk your way. We all begin somewhere. When we decide to define our lives from the stinking poverty and make it count on ourselves. Then we begin the long journey which we never know when it’s gonna turn to our favor. But due to hope, we just try our best each single day. Sometimes when we have worked just so hard. When we have hustled so hard to brighten our future. When we have gone hungry for the sake of our that enterprise, when we have done all we thought could make us get to the answer of our destinies. When you have spent sleepless nights on that seat trying to figure out which code will work for your software. Then one morning you wake up to a dark surprise. You wake up and find out that the empire you spent the better part of your life building has been razed to the ground, and only some smoke coming out of what used to  be your empire can make you count the loses. More often than not we just wish we never began it all for it is to us like a nightmare. When if we gave up, everyone would understand. Then we become the reference of failure of ideas in the society. It’s human. But buddy, Don’t you ever give up on that idea you have in your mind. It’s all you got, don’t give it away in despair. Just smile and say that maybe that wasn’t your day. Begin again and anew. There is great value in disaster, thank God all our mistakes are burnt down. Let’s not give away to the lies of this world that so and so never made it.  Tell the world you aren’t so and so. You are a new breed.  Even if the download isn’t complete, at least you tried. Start downloading anew. Maybe it won’t work again and again. But don’t give up. Say you can make it. Say you are going to beat the giant. Just stay calm. Put yourself and your best in what you do and change your world. Remember there is no extra time, so whatever you do do it your best in the first time. Who says I will wake up and he wakes, who says I wil read this book and he reads it, who says I will go to school and he goes. Success is waiting for the man who makes a decision. So time is important. Time is important. Don't ur time watching television 24hours a day, don't spent your time watching video 24hours a day. Those that you are watching have put their best into what you are watching. Switch the position. Say I will be watched.
There are certain things that you must do to realize that success you wish. There are certain things in life that are limited. One of them is time. Save time. Save it. Keep track of your time. The bible says

You don't have extra time, life is not a game. Therefore make each day of your life count. Some of you are the best writers in this world, but where are your writings? Maybe you are sleeping too much, maybe you are playing too much. Its time to wake up. Its time to put your best into that writing. Let the world read your writings. Improve urself everyday, choose to be a success. Introduce something into your life that counts. Become inspiring, be an excellence. If you are a musician, put your best into that writing. Choose to be a success. Choose to be an excellence. Success is waiting.
