Life is at its prime and at its happiest moment when
everything is just going our way ad we are celebrating our success. How else
can we celebrate this success if we do not engage the entire society around us.
Our friends and family come and party with us. They tell us how we are just too
blessed. And the list goes on and on. But then when we are faced with crisis,
we often find ourselves in a problem with those people we thought could help
us. We are left all alone to nurse our own wounds. We are left to endure the
pain on our own. And like Rabbit says in his KAFIRI song, ….
…Fake friends na kivuli, wao hukua na tabia moja, wao hutokeza saa zile
jua yangu imechomoza…
It is this time of loss that we most need encouragement.
Loss isn’t the end of everything. Sometimes we have to lose to learn how to
stay humble. If every moment of our lives is just all about achievement and
nothing else, how then shall we learn how to handle losses. How then shall we
learn how to handle discouragements from those people we even think could
assist us? That is the importance of loss.
Loss doesn’t mean you
did everything wrong, no! Sometimes it just means that you can do it in a
better way. Sometimes it just means that you can walk the road of success more
bold.
Do not cry when failure comes befalling you, rather,
thank God everything has been burned down,
You can begin anew at least.
We lose to build again. We level all our past efforts, to
build a new thing in the end.
