GET YOUR WEIGHT UP! YOU CAN DO THIS!

What is it with life that makes it just too difficult? Why is it that after every single storm we walk right into another? Or is it just the way things are supposed to be?
Behind on your rent and the landlord is like thunder, you don't want to meet him. The shilling in the drain, losing everything you ever worked for at the face of some everyday value loss. Death picks away the only surviving bread winner, and you have to fend for your siblings to at least have a meal on the table. What do you do? What do you do when this happens?
A wise man once told me that the human brain is like a computer. It is full of programs that will never run unless called for. One series of events pushes the brain to call these .exe programs and then they do just what they are supposed to do.
Sometimes life has to beat us up so we may see what a great diamond we are. What a lion we are. Life will suprise you with what you least expect sometimes. It will take away everything you own. It will run with it like a stray dog. It will pinch and bite like a swarm of bees sometimes. As if that is not enough it will eat up everything you got like a wild fire.
Yes, the doctor diagonised you with cancer, each day you wake up knowing it is right in there, eating you up so greedily. You feel the pain yet you don't know when this will ever be over. Except that you fear it ever goes because if it goes you go with it. You dread to sleep because we do not know maybe that will be the last time we ever closed them. Your back is against the wall, will you just sit there and watch life beat you up hands down?
Come on. Get your weight up! Get your weight up! Stop it with this over analysing how bad your situation is, or how worse it could get. Get your weight up! What profit will it do to you to keep worrying and crying how life has beaten you. Wake up and start living. Yes, the doctor said you got few days, but will you live those few ticks on the clock complaining, crying foul? Come on, get your weight up and realise that this isn't a tragedy, it's an opportunity. One man once said that, it's not until you realize that you got nothing to lose if you live your life to the fullest that you begin living. Stop worrying about what you will be looking like tomorrow. Worries never paid the mortgage for no one, worries never paid for anyone's medical bill. Get your weight up! Don't leave your family that bill once you are gone. Yes you are going, develop a sense of urgency to life. You can do this. You can make your siblings live a decent life. Yes parents are gone, but thank God you are still around, your brothers are looking up to you, are you going to quit on them thinking that suicide is the way out? Come on, GET YOUR WEIGHT UP!
Your team is looking up to you, GET YOUR WEIGHT UP! Don't quit on your county yet, they are all watching you, you have come this far, are you gonna quit now? GET YOUR WEIGHT UP! Your family has done everything to put you in that school. Yes the papers are hard. Yes everything hasn't been a fairy tale with those transcripts, with those results, with your relations, with them, are you just going to quit? GET YOUR WEIGHT UP! Yes that department is viewing you as a liability, yes they say you are slow with the accounts, but I need you to look back, what else have you got? Have you forgotten that this is what you studied for? Have you forgotten that this is all you know? This is all you got? Are you going to burn that up in a flame of booze and coming to work drunk? Are you? GET YOUR WEIGHT UP!
I need you to get up. Yeah, sometimes you will feel like quiting, but that is totally okay, but I need you to stay on. Stay in the game. Wipe away those tears. You can do this. We can get this done. yes, I know maybe you will need to talk, maybe I won't always be available to talk, but I wanna give you a companion, that is YOU. Look at that person in the mirror, say it with me, GET YOUR WEIGHT UP! YOU CAN DO THIS!

It's you guys Codeset and thank you for making us reach the milestone. we proudly stand at over 4200 views family, all this is because you read. Introduce someone new. And remember this, GET YOUR WEIGHT UP! YOU CAN DO THIS!

You Build An Empire? How Far Would You Go To Protect Your Empire?

"EMPIRE"
Anyone who cares to interact with what goes around them must be aware of this one series that by far has made the greatest sensation any series movie may have ever brought by far. The pride, anger the betrayal, and most importantly, Music, among many more, the movie goes on to explain how a man from poverty rises to be a King in an Empire he builds throughout his life. He goes on to keep fighting for it throughout a sickness, imprisonment, let me not unleash it all here, by far, this is one of the best series movies ever sold.
But my main concern is not the series, my most important thing is what I learn throughout the entire show.
A man who is dying is so desperate for an heir but he doesn't just give it to anyone. He passes his sons through a test that pushes them over the limit. A story of how far a man can go to protect his empire.
HOW FAR WOULD YOU GO TO PROTECT YOUR EMPIRE?
I know you would love to be the next Bill Gates, but how far would you go to protect that legacy? Yes you love music, but how far would you go to see to it that your voice emerges on top? Yes you love the dream, but why are you having a 10minutes more sleep if you want to get to it? Yes you love to be the best in the game, but why are you not pushing over the limit so you emerge on top of the list?
The moment you will find something that you would be willing to die for just to ensure that it is kept alive, then that moment you will have found you Empire, BUILD IT. When you know the effort you put to build an empire you don't let anyone toy with your empire. When you remember the tears you shed, the sleepless nights you spent on your dream, the grind you put to get what you have, the people that believed in you just to let your dream come true, then you would do anything to protect that empire. It is not enough to be the champion when you could be a legend that was never beaten. It is not enough to be good when you could be the best.It is not enough to just say you will go for your dream when you haven't hit the road yet. Protect your dream by building yourself massive success. Build extra-ordinary results. If you love your family, stop lying when you should live a truth with them. If you love your job, stop coming to work late when you know you may as well lose the job. In short, in the words of a famous Musician, "you never miss the waters until the well is running dry, you know you are missing home when you hate the road." Begin protecting your empire if you would love it to be in your hands and grow bigger. What you have is so valuable, don't lose it trying to chase some little lies. PROTECT YOUR EMPIRE

THE MILLENIUM GIRL, SHE WAS BEAUTIFUL (Ladies Edition)

I was the last born in a family of three ladies(inclusive of mum) and one king. So the only boys we played with were our neighbours’ all-male triplets. Growing up, we played together. We walked together with them. Being around them was so warm and safe. We hugged like some little baboons, playing the mother-daddy games. I always wanted to be mum. No, not because of that, because HE WAS SECURE. I really liked him a lot. He would carry me when I got sick to the couch as we pretended it was the car. It was warm playing with his brothers too. Always aggressive and ready to protect. Everyone remembers that childhood soap opera.
But as we were growing up, we met a world that viewed this hero we had in them differently. We met a world that told us they were dogs. I don’t yet know what that means, but I was made to believe and just follow without ever questioning. They told me not to even ever trust my very first boyfriend (dad). They said they were all the same. They told me I didn’t need him yet when mama cried, when my big sister cried, not to mention, me too, He was always there to comfort us. If he ever went on a business trip, it felt all insecure. Even the slightest pin drop froze us.
What they taught me about these heroes messed with how I viewed them. Slowly I started disrespecting the same kids that always wiped my tears after getting hurt in the yard. Slowly I answered the same daddy that changed my diapers when momma was sick, rudely, yet I knew he took care of all the family needs. Everytime I did something to hurt his feelings and he got angry, momma always threw tantrums at him and convinced him that it was adolescence that affected me. We felt like winners because we knew he couldn’t beat us in the mouthing game. But many years later, I regret what I did to dad. I guess I was too naïve to just follow momma’s advice without questioning. I wish I knew how deep the words we threw at him sank in the sea of his thoughts.
The boys, as I was taught to call them even the oldest of them, started getting away from me. I was taught that I was a prize that they had to toil themselves off to win, and I became that. I lost a lot of them that used to be heroes simply because they asked me out. I joined the university and became the most proud woman earth has ever seen. I disqualified any undergraduate level guy from my list, because I was told, “They ain’t a challenge, u need someone that challenges you. Working class.” I went out only with those that were driving. So unfortunate most of those I schooled with were walking class. I felt guilty of what I was doing somehow but I brushed it off with the thought that I was playing three driving men. Today in a Japanese, tomorrow German, the next day to the airstrip. It was real fun that I even missed most of my classes. Did they matter anymore really. With the new career I had gotten myself, thanks to facebook and instagram, being a socialite was the thing in town. Soon I moved international and “served” even tycoons in Nigeria, Dubai and the Middle East. It was fun. Really a lot. They always said, “YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL MILLENIUM GIRL”.
Many years later I sit here watching my two twin sons growing without a father and I shed tears. Will the world ever have a place for them to go out and fight? Will they ever be told that they are heroes? The questions can’t stop but all I have left yet I have to stop questioning, go out in the streets of Koinange and find my sons a meal(I graduated but with an F, you know why). I walk out at night and the men I meet are bitter because of the words this world told them. None of them even knows my name, yet I have to fend for my children this way. My only solace is when I visit dad in prison (he murdered momma after a heated argument). He forgave me and I forgave him for taking away my mum. I tell him what an hero he is. He always tells me to tell my boys what the world we live in will call them. Yet I have never told them a thing. Because I was that girl I want them to be aware of. I wish I could take back the arms of time and begin again. But it’s too late. All I take pride in is taking care of my kids. It’s all I have left.
MILLENIUM GIRL, DON’T BE THE BEAUTIFUL GIRL I WAS
Codeset: In the old days women saw their men as conquerors, providers and heroes, but somewhere along the line that changed. Women started becoming their own heroes. Maybe it is because their men forgot how to be heroes. Or because women didn’t want to be protected anymore. Or maybe women had to be their own heroes because of the pain they had to endure in life. But whatever the course, the world took away the man’s reasons for being a man. They told him he wasn’t important anymore, and when that happened, it turned the whole world upside down. Women had to teach themselves how to be their own men, which in God’s own purposing wasn’t planned. No wonder none ever succeeded. It brought misery to her and she hid in fame and success that she didn’t need a man. Yet the pillow knew her tears.

DAR ER SALAAM! I WISH THIS WAS HOME(Gents Edition)

Everyone always fought to be dad. You know why? Because you always had the opportunity to be the leader. You had the chance to get yourself the best toys. I always prayed that Mercy (the most beautiful girl), could accept to be mum. I slept and she brought breakfast to the table and I had to send my little brothers to the field and bring hunts home. If you grew up on planet earth I guess you know how it used to be back in the day. I will never be satisfied with technology until it’s possible to relive those moments without dying like the traditional African society tells us.
It was all okay until I saw momma fighting with dad. That’s when I questioned who the man was. As if that wasn’t enough, Mercy left me for John, simply because my parents couldn’t afford an oxford mathematical set in class four. I was lonely and didn’t have anyone to tell any of the pains my heart was in as I graduated all past high school. Every girl wanted a challenge. And as time went on, I began doubting the sanity of the man that ever wrote the word love. I knew my little brothers were going to pass through the same thing but couldn’t have anyone to tell(dad and mom divorced and my brothers opted to go with mom because she knew haow to cook chapati). Each time I came home from the day-school I was in I knew what my responsibilities were. I became a great cook the hard way because I stayed on with dad. I think someday I will even teach my daughter how to cook. Dad worked hard to support the other family as they said in the court. That is why I ended up in a day-school, so he could afford it. Growing up Dad knew I was a genius, a curse that momma rejected me for. She said I was hard to relate because all I did was temper with the TV and at night it would be black and white because I put it in place in a hurry. Toys were my girl friends because all of them said I didn’t know how to have fun.
When I joined The Dynasty University, I went to take Telecommunications and Networks. I could hack into any system without even waking the watchdogs. Unfortunately my day came and I was expelled at my second year for helping friends leak an examination from the university’s systems. At this point I was alone because dad had died a year before then from high blood pressure. Sorry to say, but the old man loved mom a lot that for all that long he never got over the divorce. When I was expelled and charged in a court of law, they gave me 5 and a half years behind bars. I didn’t see any sense in the bail the judge place for me to be free because I couldn’t anyway afford it. Mom was nowhere to be found. All I knew was that she got married to some rich spoilt guy. I could judge this by the type of car my brothers came to my hearing in. They were what if dad was alive then would say, “They got some breathing cars, son.”
Many years later, I turn around in my office chair and look through the large glass wall in my office and see the city that gave me a chance to be a man. I just sent my very gorgeous wife, who serves as my P.A too, to go and get me some tea. I’m a foreigner in this country that was many miles behind in technology yet it was filled with the aroma of love even when there was no meal to place on the table. Dar er salaam. I feel a warm tear flow down my eye. Before I wipe it, Judy (my wife), asks from the door, “The milk-guy isn’t here yet, would you have a hot coffee as you love it back in the day?” Before I answer she is already by my side and has noticed the tear in my eye. She wipes the tear and before long this turns to a moment of reminding ourselves how we went without food for days with her. “I build this company with my own hands…” I can’t stop the tremor in my voice because of the emotions. “But I wish I were home. My family couldn’t be the laughing story in town.” I remember what a great and caring family we found here and wish it was back home. I wish I could change the society back home, but then, I can’t do a thing about it. The systems blocked my entry into the market. The best I could do was deport my brothers to this country and find them a fortune since they burned all their wealth on pleasure before I even left prison.
“Your daughter Cynthia and son Baraka will bring that home one day. You are David, they are Solomon,” Judy whisphers in my ear and it brings me back to reality. “I wish this was back home,” I say as she leaves to make me that back in the day coffee. I look at her as she leaves my office and I just wish every man in my country had just a half of a woman like her. Then Home Would Be Home.
I AM IN DAR, BUT I WISH THIS WAS HOME.
When will a man ever answer his wife’s call instead of saying she was nagging because she messed her youth? When will home ever feel like home.

Your Best Shot

"...It's your guy Codeset saying, Life Is Short, Get Busy Living..." So does go the phrase at the end of each video on the weekly series of, 12over10.
A lot of people have always wondered why we love using that statement a lot on all our videos, posts and comments. Let Me Explain.
We do not wish to scare you to sturt getting rushy in life. We want to inspire you to accept life as it is and find meaning in it in the few days you will be around. A lot of people are always procrastinating work, study, practice, diet and much more hoping they will have tomorrow, next week, next month, next year to do all that. They live their whole life postponing their destinies, yet blinding themselves from the one truth that whether they like it or not have to face. ONE UNTOLD DAY YOU WILL DIE. No one loves this statement. We love avoiding it hiding behind that famous slogan, better give up today to fight another day. At the end of it all we realise that time has eloped like smoke in the wind. Then we start doing the 0 work of chasing it. We do things we were supposed to have done many years ago. Then one day our eulogy is read, and deep in the soil we lie, many many years behind in our dreams, only because we dreaded to take action in the right time.
Let's take a tour in your life if you only had today to live, what would you do so that if tomorrow we read your eulogy, you will lie down there knowing well that you did your best. That you gave your best shot. Stop rehearsing life and do all you can today. Concentrate on the 24 hours ahead of you today. Stop worrying about what will happen tomorrow. Stop pushing your dreams forward. Do it all today. Do it all. You have more than enough to do everything you want to do. In you are books, write them today. Begin looking for investors to invest in your dream today. Tomorrow will come and you will live it if you get there. Develop a sense of urgency to life so you can achieve massive success.Understand the minute and second you are having now is all you are sure about. Stop giving 50% in your job thinking that it's the company that will lose. No. Give 150%, you may be the next CEO just because you gave it your all. Stop just doing what you are paid for. Do more than that. What do you lose if you went ahead and served tea to your boss because the secretary is sick and isn't at work today. Go give it your best shot. Stop waiting to be pushed to submit your assignments to your tutors, just go and give your best shot. You have in you more than enough points than you are asked to give. Go ahead do that. What's your best shot? You remember how you did it? How you pushed yourself to do it? Give it today. Your best shot to life is all you have to give today. Stop listening to the noise outside. Yes, everyone is tired. Yes everyone is giving up and surrendering to defeat, but you aint everyone. You are just You. So I will ask you again, what is YOUR BEST SHOT? Give it. Today pleaaaaaase. Give it. You can do this. Hang in there. Remember life is short. Tomorrow is a choice of your Maker. When the reaper comes, how will he find you. Will you have give your best shot?

It's your guy Codeset, let's give our best shot today.

You Owe You

Life is not always a fairy tale. So we were told as we were growing up. Until when life happened to us, we never knew what it really was. Then we understood what this meant. But unfortunately some got stuck in that pain. Others arrived at failure, then they packed. they started satying how much life was unfair to them. How much life had taken away from them. You forgot what got you there in the first place. You forgot the champion you used to be. We are tired of listening to your story over and over again! Shut Up and stop blaming anyone! Everything that has happened to you is yours. Get up and brush your shoulder. Sort your mess. Yes, life happened, yes everyone betrayed you, yes, family left you, the friends that mattered don't return your calls no more, you are behind on bills because your love left, you are broken and can hardly stand. yes! All this happened, but will you live in the pain forever?
Will your life be defined by the things that happened to you? Will you live life just telling your plight of pain? Come on! Man Up! Go to the mirror, look at that person and tell them to MAN UP! You owe yourself your life! Doesn't matter what happened, but it's done, come on, go to the wall where you used to write your dreams and rewrite your dreams. Reconstruct them and build the passion that you used to have before all this happened. Revisit that zeal and desire you used to have. Don't let it go! Go for it. You don't owe your life to those that did things to you. You don't owe your life to the things that happened to you. MAN UP! You got only one life to live and this you owe you. You can't live blaming anyone, take responsibility of your life. Yes! Everything bad happened to you, so what? Give us a better choice of who it should have happened to!
Come one, these challenges are here to make you a better person. Take life by the horns and face it. YOU OWE YOUR LIFE TO THAT PERSON YOU SEE ON THE MIRROR. Man up, Go make it happen.

Stop Revising, Start Writing

Tears are a part of life, failure comes, failure goes. Unfortunately most people spend more time in the tears that they forget the great gift God gave them. When God closes one door he opens another. That's a quote we have been lucky to hear a hundred and one times. Yet we rarely put it into practice. We decline to acknowledge the fact that God makes everything come our way is meant to make us better persons. At times you will sit with some people and all they do is tell you, sing to you and explain in 3D how bad life has beaten them. All they will do is whine, whine and whine. They keep revising their story like it's their medal. Please, do me a favor. SHUT UP! Start writing another story. God blessed you with a life that is beautiful and amazing. Don't disappoint your Maker by saying it again and again and again, just begin writing a new story. Yes people betrayed you, but will you live the rest of your life in tears? Yes things didn't work how you expected that they would, but will that put a meal on your table? You are meant to shine. Be the eagle, when the wind blows, let it propel you to a greater level. When tears come, act like you just washed your face. When people walk away from you, thank God people that would otherwise bring you down have been eliminated. Look at the better side of life. That's what matters. Move on. You will never get a pay check for telling your sad story. You will never get your pay for a failed marriage, you will never give excuses why you never succeeded and get paid. Get off it. Forget the story and begin writing again. Write your new chapter of your story. You are more than capable to be excellent. STOP REVISING, START WRITING.

LIFE IS A CHOICE

In the world that is full of choices, one would shame humanity if they were unable to choose their destinies. Choices that begin right from the moment one arrives into this planet. From names, clothing, choice of friends, and most probably one of the latest I have heard, choice of gender(wondering how one can really do that, leave that to the medics). But probably the best analogy on the choices we make and how they impact into our lives, is the Supermarket. Growing up as a baby the supermarket was the one place, me and my friends loved. Simply, NO RULES, JUST A CHOICE. Window shopping was our thing. You would enter the supermarket and probably spent the whole day admiring the toys cars, bikes and footballs in there(of course you can tell from this a large number of us were boys). We would go all round "shopping" and probably only take a bar of chocolate to the counter. Why? It's what we could afford. So at the end of the day one untold rule always came out, PICK, DOESN'T MATTER YOU NEED IT OR NOT, AS LONG AS YOU CAN PAY FOR IT, NO BARGAINS.

A similar thing happens with life. Life is a supermarket, where we all walk in and on the counters are destinies, friends, partners and all that life has to offer. But at the end of the day, the choice we have chosen has a price. We can spend all day talking about working on your dreams, not engaging in drugs, not engaging in premarital sex, not assuming those that love you, basically every aspect of your life you have ever heard of in your life, but one thing remains at the end of the day is that you must pay a price for every choice you make. You can cheat today in your papers, but trust me you will never run away from the price choice you make. It's your life, pick what you want from the shelves but at the end of the day pay the price and enjoy the fruits. Pick trust from the shelf and enjoy a happy marriage, pick distrust and celebrate a life of divorce after divorce, pick forgiveness and enjoy the best life you could ever have, pick bitterness and you will die young.
I mean, life is a choice, but whatever the choice you make, you can never run away from the price. In the supermarket of life, you can never burgain about a price for a certain thing. You gotta pay the price. You need a good family, afford the time and love for your family, no bargain. You want to keep on engaging in drug abuse? Well, it's not hard as long as you will be ready to die early and lose all that is meaningful in life.
You want to reap success, come get it from the top, but there are no lifts, you must take the stairs. You take premarital sex or unfaithfulness and be ready to reap early pregnancies, STDs andAIDS, that's all you  only got to pay imagine. You can never bargain the prices in the supermarkets, so can't you in life.

This is your guy Codeset saying that go to the supermarket of life and pick the right thing.
Let's finish the week well fellows. I love you.

DON'T GET FIRED

So to a lot of people, actually work begins on Tuesday after nursing weekend's hangovers, and it ends on Thursday because they call Friday, Members' say, and they are on relax mode to begin the rave at 4. So basically these people work 3 days a week and spend money 4 days a week.
Now, I want us to work 5 days, and if really we have to spend, we spend, let it be two days(if we really have to.)
Alright so let's make this rolling.
Most people lose their jobs on Friday and get fired on Monday.
What do I mean by that. Most people switch to the primary school packing mode. 10 minutes to lunch time your brain has already switched to your lunch box. All that is taught in those minutes goes by and you don't get it. Most people do the same to their careers. You leave work at 11am on Friday. You just committed career suicide. You get to work on Monday and you find a letter on your desk. YOU ARE FIRED. It shouts onto your face. You walk up to your employer and you claim you know your rights? Baibe, you lost the job on Friday, only that they give you the Firing letter on Monday when you come to work at 10 smelling like a billy. Your boss is running a company and he is out to make money, you are out to make that salary too, how will it be then you behave in that manner and you expect to find your job to be waiting for you to pick it up? Nah! Nah! Nah!
Don't be that child.

Wait until the time is up then walk to your usual place and catch up with the boys/girls. Now, that's a smart person. Let's finish this so on Monday we got a place to get food from.

EARN IT!

What do you mean Codeset by that?
Simple, earn it. A lot of people love free things, a lot of people love to beg for favors and all that kind of a thing. I didn't say don't go and get a loan, Nah! Nah! Nah! I said don't beg, earn it! From respect, wealth, positions and everything, earn it! You never enjoy anything until you have earned it. You will never take pleasure if all that happens is for people to feed you like you are some dead man. Yeah! Most people fear earning because it is hard. Yeah! The hustle is hard and sometimes may not be the thing in town, but so what if all you have to do is do your thing and your family lives happily. But so what if I have to go out wash toilets today and tomorrow I got to be the CEO. Earn it!
One very interesting person whose story is really encouraging is the CEO of Centum Investments, Mworia. That guy rose from being in the records to CEO. He had a degree in Law but he was taken to records. Everyone be like, why the hell would you waste such potential. No! He had something big inside him. He earned his position through the kind of work he gave. Doesn't matter whether everyone around him was playing the average game, nooooooo! He played the game of champions. He rose to the top because he did it like it was his company, like he owned it! And you know what followed? He earned it! I believe no matter what, anything good you have to earn it! Forget the fact of living in a corrupt economy where degrees, positions and salaries are earned through bribes, no! Go earn your stuff the hard way.
Doesn't matter what pHd you got, no, but at the end of the day you gotta earn your stuff the hard way. Most youths are complaining that there are no jobs yet they got the degrees, how will the job come to you if you can't begin it from somewhere. Go begin even if it means having a first class honors but at the gate, go earn it. Someday it will make sense why you needed that.
Let's go out and grind hard.

It's your guy Codeset, saying, Life Is Short, Get Busy Living.

Take Out The Trash

Like any other college kid is, I happen to be a really great fan of movies. I remember in my freshman year copying movies from a "privileged" friend and going to watch it on my very first android phone. Anyone who grew from this part of the world where owning a computer is for the chosen few knows exactly where to find the Vlc Beta Version App that can run on Android devices. One of the things that you will be a witness of, at some point the disk space on your phone or laptop alerts you it's running low. If you trust your machine so much, you ignore these warnings as one of those "Windows Spams". Of course you wanna keep that movie that you love so much.
Unfortunately, reality strikes you when you are trying to add a new movie into your storage but then it shows a "no enough space" message and won't take in any new movie. This is where you sadly delete your beloved movie and then you take in the new stuff.  We turn our beloved movie into trash and throw it in the bin.
Life is just like that storage. Sometimes we carry too much trash with us, stuff that we have passed through, stuff that other people made us pass through as well as past good and beautiful memories, that there is no more space for better things. For most people, they turn to collectors and inside them is buried bitterness that they can't anymore stand happiness. Some carry so much fear of the past of what happened to them that they can no more trust anyone even if they mean good. Sometimes you got to forget for you to progress. Stop being stuck on that happening that happened to you long ago, no. In you can be deposited gems of being the CEO, but you fear so much the company owner is after exploiting you. In you are diamonds of being the next biggest musician, but you have held so much hatred against the DJs who don't play your music simply because you ain't big enough that even when you are big you can't trust they will play you. In you are sands of being the next President of the Students union, but you have held on to people that are out to destroy the administration through cheap politics that the students even can't trust you. In you is a book, but the kind of bitterness you unleash through your words makes it never to become a best seller.

It's time to throw the rubbish in the bin. It's time to let go the past happenings that you may receive new things. Just like you delete the old movies with the hope that the next ones will be better, release the things that are keeping you fro ever receiving better things. You are blessed and highly capable. Just create space in you for better things. Yeah, the bad memories of the people may feel sweet to recount as you tell the story to other people,(just like it is fun to explain a movie to a friend that has not watched it) but at the end of the day, you are left hurting with no space in you to load new and better things.

Will you please do me that one favor as we end this 3rd quarter of the year? TAKE OUT THE TRASH.
I know you are great, I just need you to do yourself that favor for me.

The Window Closes So Fast

Everyday when we watch the news, when we look on people's updates on twitter, when we comment on people's posts on facebook, when all instagram reminds us are memories we had, we are left wondering, why does life end so fast yet without alerting us? We cry, grief and mourn those loved ones we have lost. They leave a gap in our lives that nothing can fill. But there is one important thing that life reminds us during these moments. "We Are Sojourners Here, What Legacy Will We Leave Behind?"
Everyday one or two people close to us are gone. We ought to ask ourselves, I may be next, am I ready to go?
Once we realize that every moment we live draws us closer to the day when we will be gone and gone forever, we gain a sense of urgency in life. We gain a sense of living each day and night like it is our last one. We gain a sense of giving our best in all we do and giving to the world like we will never again be around.
Take a minute and think, if today you were called to judgement, are you ready? Have you given all you came to give to this world. If it's a book you were writing, begin today even if you do not get to know how you will ever publish it. If it's doing your music, get to write it even if you don't know when you will ever get money to record. It's better to be prepared for an opportunity and not have it than to have the opportunity and not be prepared.
In life you live only once. Live. If living is all you gotta do, why not? And in that living if serving humanity and giving answers to the world is all you gotta do, why not? Begin now. Yes, I want you to stop saying I will do it tomorrow and do it today. Today is the only day you have to make it happen in your life. You can not predict what tomorrow brings, tomorrow will have it's own plan, live today.
Get busy living.

Not Even A Bad Omen

A great thank you to my readers. It really takes a lot to convince people that they need to read your stuff on any blog, but my great family, you motivate me to keep writing.
So today I reviewed the life of one great man that when business is mentioned in Kenya, His name appears first. He has been in the Forbes Magazine for as long as he has lived. We celebrate this great icon. Chris Kirubi grew up as an orphan being raised by well wishers. Everyone who sees his "serious-smile" on the coverpages can tell that there is an untold story that he maybe never tells. So after form four,, DJ CK, as he is popularly known to the music lovers, went ahead to do odd jobs here and there. He had to earn something for his younger siblings. And his story goes on and on.
My main interest is his growing up. Anyone who has lived long enough to see any orphan knows the problems that come with such upbringings. Lacking food, lacking clothing.... Yeah! All that our great guy underwent. But today he sits on such a big empire. And sure as death, Not even a bad omen can stand the passion of someone that is in pursuit for success. Even death stands aside to give room for such a person to succeed.

LIKE NEVER BEFORE - LAX ENTERTAINMENT

A while ago, Codeset did an article one great guy that is really shaking the wave in the music industry. This man Ben Ceezy is one phenomenal artist in in the industry who is doing music in his own way. Based in Nairobi, Ben C has released a brand new song that will just leave you craving for more. MZIKI TRUE, the song reased today, 26th June, 2015, is shot in such a great way by CMG. It was really a long journey throughout and sure as it is, the hit has attracted such a great view on YouTube. Let me stop the long story thing, check out
Mziki True, by BEN-C, CEO at Lax Entertainment
. He explains the great gospel that is worth the industry, how one is so lucky one is to be behind any particular task. And that is what I really want to talk about today.

Each one of us is created with such previledges that there can hardly ever be anyone better than you in that particular field. You are given a gift in you, don't take it for granted. You are gifted in your own particular way. No one can do music like you do, no one can code like you do, no one can do a clothing line like you do, no one is like you. So dont take your gift for granted. Don't assume what is given to you by walking away as if you had forever to live. Utilise today. Your vitality today. No one can ever do what you do. You are highly gifted and talented than you can ever imagine.

At the eve of this weekend, I present to you one more gift in addition to the Mziki True Video, check out one upcoming and talented artist from Kenya, Byansii. Check out

Nambie by Byansii

Sometimes We Need To Fall To Rise Again

Willy Paul
If what went through every media house, and through everyone who cares to follow up the music industry music is something to go by, this 22 yea-old had a fair share of the deal. Willy Paul, one of the youngsters in Kenya who have taken the Gospel Music industry, was met by the angry face of the fans that were once his fans, all frying him in as many medias as they could. From Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Blogs, Radio even TV, Willy was tossed like a rugby ball, or is it hot coals, each one generously delivering their uncalled-for blows. This served the "nortorious"(as Ghafla commonly refers to him) artist, with a surprise that he probably never anticipated, thanks to the recently concluded Groove Awards, where he walked empty handed despite having been nominated in several categories. His care-free habit maybe had at last reaped him a sad award. But my focus is not on how he lost or how many critics came his way, or how many failures he made that far. But rather, what he did to prove to his enstranged fans, some of whom have/had shifted camp to other artists. He fulfilled one thing he had promised his fans, SOUL-SEARCHING. I'm ain't a die hard fan of his, but for reals, this time am out congratulating him, he went into studio and released what I would call a masterpiece. No! A Great COMEBACK! With his new hit, Hukuniacha, by Willy Paul.

Sometimes success comes our way, and we are too full of ourselves that we forget how we got up there. We forget the people who helped us climb the ladder and when we come tumbling down, there is no one to hold us. Or maybe, sometimes we give everything our best, we do what we think is the right thing for the industry we are involved with, yet when we are right there on top, we come falling down, everything just doesn't work or go our way. We are left asking ourselves like we mostly ask each other, "What are you gonna do now." And it is at that very moment we need to sit ourselves down and ask ourselves why this happened, why this caught us unaware. It is a time when we ought to do soul-searching. When we opt to take the painful cane of owning to our responsibilities, our actions and strike ourselves with the painful truth that probably those close to us fear to tell us. It isn't a pleasant experience but we gotta go through it and realise that pain we feel will later take us to our place. Endure the pain of tellin yourself the bad that you did and take responsibility of your actions. Change your every habit that has brought you here. Why is this really important? It will change your reaction from living an illusion to living a reality. From walking life bored and tired to rekindle the fire of achievement, the zeal and passion for whatever you do. Remember, no one can do it for you, and you can't lie to yourself. If things aren't working, face it, don't try to run away from it by engaging in drugs, no, it ain't going to help. If you face it rough as it might be and choose to be the one incharge of your life, it will surely pay off. And you will realise that there is great value in failure. One author once said, there is great value in failure, all our mistakes are burned up, thank God we can start all over again. That's why, we sometimes need that failure to rebuild our empire up and stronger.
